High marks in stamina, teamwork, vision and passing help him grow into a valuable asset for any club. 14. Jordan Rossiter (Rangers) – Value = £725,000 – The ex-Liverpool starlet was snapped up by the Scottish giants in the summer and, at 19, has plenty of potential to grow. You should be able to snap him up for under £3m. 15. Denis Zakaria (Young Boys) – Value = £3.8m – Already a Swiss international, the 19-year-old begins the game looking a little light technically but fine in most key attributes for a defensive midfield role, even if his determination is a little low. He’s been known to go to some big clubs in the game, so get your bids in early. 7. Andres Cubas (Boca Juniors) – Value = £950,000 – Physically, the Argentine doesn’t look great to deal with the role but his mental attribute, as well as his passing and first touch, make him an ideal deep-lying playmaker. Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) – Value = £25.5m – Superbly versatile, Kimmich is a wonderful addition if you can afford him. Still just 21, he has loads of ability, especially mentally, but could do with some work physically. You’ll have to do something big to sign him, but he will be worth it. 14 9. Jairo Riedewald (Ajax) – Value = £3.3m – Extremely versatile, the Dutchman is a quality deep-lying playmaker at a young age. With three caps to his name with the Netherlands, Riedewald is, unsurprisingly, featuring on this list. Thiago Maia (Santos) – Value = £4.3m – The ball-winning Brazilian is already a key star for his club, and while he lacks the ability to also play as a central midfielder, he’s a solid acquisition. European giants will swoop for his signature, though, so watch out for big clubs plotting to land him. 8. Franck Kessie (Atalanta) – Value – £5.25m – An Ivory Coast international who is attracting the attentions of Arsenal, amongst others, Kessie has some big scores at the start of Football Manager 2017. His stamina, strength, balance, tackling and bravery are all 16 and above, and will get average rating of between 7.2 and 7.4, while chipping in with the odd goal or assist. 13. Atakan Akkaynak (Bayer Leverkusen) – Value = £245,000 – A ball-winning midfielder, the 17-year-old German has some fantastic mental attributes to kick off with, although he needs to mature physically. He will improve, especially if given plenty of game time, perhaps at a lower level. 4. Julian Weigl (Borussia Dortmund) – Value = £23m – If you haven’t heard this name before you’ve probably been living under a rock. He’s excelled in the Bundesliga and in the game he has some, quite frankly, stunning mental attributes. He’ll be a regular for at least a decade. 14 14 14 14 6. Amadou Diawara (Napoli) – Value = £5.75m – At just 18, Diawara looks destined to be star in Serie A with strong physical attributes. He’s got plenty to be developed with some average to low mental stats but even with this, will get ratings above 7 for most games.
