first_imgHuawei sub-brand Honor is gearing up for the global launch of the Honor 10 that is set to take place in London on May 15. Thanks to a teaser on Flipkart, we now have confirmation that this will be the same date when the phone will be available in India as well, exclusively through the e-commerce platform. The Honor 10 was first unveiled in China last month and it highlights a design language and some under-the-hood specs similar to the Huawei P20.In China, the Honor 10 is available in two storage variants – 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The former has been priced at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 27,200) while the latter comes with a price tag of CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 31,400). The Honor 10 price in India is yet to be known but it should be in the same ballpark. The Honor 10 will replace the Honor View 10 which was launched in the country last year for Rs 29,999.Honor 10 design and specificationsThe Honor 10 is touted as a more youthful phone compared to the Huawei P20. It comes with a colour changing aurora coating that changes the colour of the phone depending on the angle you see it in. The phone sports a curved glass design that further helps in how the light bounces on the rear panel and helps in changing the colour.Apart from the aurora glass on the back, the Honor 10 sports a near bezel-less display on the front with a notch on top. Notably, the chin on the bottom is where Honor has placed an invisible ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that can also detect a wet finger.advertisementThe Honor 10 sports a 5.84-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio thanks to the display notch. The notch houses the front camera, earpiece and some other sensor and also allows for around 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is offered with 6GB of RAM, runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and houses a 3,400mAh battery with fast charging support. It also supports 7.1 multi-channel Hi-Fi sound quality.Honor is touting impressive AI capabilities for the Honor 10’s cameras. This is largely thanks to the Kirin 970 chipset that powers the phone, which comes with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit and more advanced AI capabilities, or what Honor calls AI 2.0. The dual rear camera setup includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and faster PDAF. Up front, the phone gets a 24-megapixel sensor, which will offer detailed and clear selfies be it in daytime or at night.last_img
