Chinese company Lenovo on Wednesday confirmed that it will launch the K4 Note phone – which is successor to the K3 Note – in India on January 5. Lenovo India is in the process of sending out ‘block your date’ invites to the media, confirming the launch of its next #KillerNote. This confirms earlier rumours that the company would launch the K4 Note sometime in January 2016. That being said, the company has been dropping in Easter eggs off-late teasing what could be in store with regards to the K4 Note. For one, the phone is likely to sport a full metal unibody design. An earlier teaser of the phone – on social media – clearly highlighted a prominent metal frame around the body of the phone. The company has also confirmed – again via social media – that the K4 Note will come with 3GB of RAM . The K3 Note had an all-plastic build and 2GB of RAM.Rumour has it that the K4 Note will be powered by MediaTek’s flagship Helio X10 processor and probably 32GB of internal memory. The original K3 Note came with MediaTek’s MT6752 CPU and 16GB of internal memory. Judging by the preliminary reports, the K4 Note does seem like an interesting phone to watch out for. The K3 Note became a runaway hit in India. Of course it’s under Rs 10,000 pricing had a lot to do with it. It would be interesting to see how Lenovo prices the K4 Note in India.
