Getty Images – Getty LIVE on talkSPORT 2 2 Getty Images – Getty Everton fans are growing increasingly impatient with Silva center_img Allardyce knows all about the pressure and expectation at Goodison Park, having left fans frustrated with his philosophy, and he admits he would’ve loved to have the resources available now.But the former England manager also suggests the club have spent the money poorly – and that might not be Silva’s fault.Brands was appointed as the club’s director of football in May 2018, tasked with overseeing Everton’s recruitment policy.“You’ve got to look at the new director of football,” Allardyce told talkSPORT. “Is Marco Silva struggling because he hasn’t recruited all these players and it’s the new director of football?“It’s a difficult position as a manager. He [Brands] has been brought in with a big reputation as director of football.
